Rules 2025

Every horse must have a current coggins (within 1 year) and health certificate (within 30 days) before they will be allowed to unload. 

No outside shavings or bedding. Each stall comes with 4 bags of shavings, additional shavings can be purchased through the facility. 

Exhibition runs are $5 each at the gate. You may have one run and then you need to get back in line. You must keep forward motion at a trot or faster, no circling and no stopping. $50 fine for not complying with the rules We reserve the right to discontinue exhibition runs at anytime if the contestants become abusive to staff Exhibitions are a courtesy. 

No horses can be tied anywhere in the arenas or warm up areas. You will be disqualified if your horses are tied anywhere besides the stall area.

Be at the gate and ready to run in your set. You have a 30 second gate call before you are turned out. 

Dress code: Long sleeve shirt, jeans, boots and either a hat or helmet. No ball caps! Violations will result in disqualification. 

The show office is open from 8 am - 5 pm Friday and Saturday. They will stay open later on Thursday and Sunday. 

No hay or tack is to be left in the barn aisles. 

We will take a maximum of 700 entries. Entries open on July 12th at 12pm pacific time. There will be a $50 NON REFUNDABLE deposit to hold your spot. The balance must be paid in full by August 8th or your entry will be considered invalid and your spot will be reassigned.

No refunds will be given after August 21st for any reason. Vet outs before August 21st will be given a refund minus your $50 deposit. 

No practice barrels in the warm up areas. 

Youth is 18 and under (as of January 1st 2025) This is a carryover only from the open. 

Senior is 50 and older. (Must be 50 as of January 1st) This is a carryover only from the open.

Men's race-Open to men that are not already entered in the open.

The barn is available for check in from 6 am Thursday until 8 pm. If you are going to arrive later than that you will need to contact a local boarding facility. The barn is locked up at 8 pm for security purposes. 

All horses must be inspected before unloading! 

NO UNAUTHORIZED VENDORS!! We have vendors in the barn offering various equine treatment options that paid their vendor fees and provided proof of liability insurance. If we find that you are offering services in the barn area for payment you will be disqualified and asked to leave the property. 

All horses must be moved off the property by 9 am Monday morning. NO EXCEPTIONS!! 

Checks will not be mailed without a completed W-9.

Substitutions for riders may only be made with riders that are already entered in the event. 

Violations of any rules or mistreatment of staff and volunteers will result in a ban from any future events.  

Buckles and Barrels for Bailey has the right to refuse entry to anyone.
