Hello my fabulous BB4B community! We have survived snomegeddon 2026! I can tell you all that I am not made for cold weather. You know who is made for it? Two of my "staff" members. The Newfoundland and the Great Pyrenes could not be happier. It was 17 degrees the other night and I tried to get my ice covered Newfie inside. He looked at me the same way I look at the Well Bred Halter Horse when he says I should share my cheetos. If a dog could laugh in your face and say "make me" that is the situation I was in. The Pyrenes kept herself warm by barking for 5 hours straight at an imaginary intruder. She is currently sound asleep, exhausted from protecting her ungrateful humans.

I always try to give you all an update in January about the accomplishments of the prior year. I want you all to understand that WE did this as a group. For everyone that buys a raffle ticket or t-shirt, donates, enterers or volunteers you have contributed to the success of this charity. We gave away just under $100,000 in 2025 to families in terrible circumstances. I really wish you could all be there when some of these families open their checks. It is a God moment when someone tells us that they didn't know how they were going to pay rent next week and then we showed up with a check. We also contributed to the Charlotte and Gwenyth Gray Foundation. They are the organization that made it possible for Bailey to receive gene therapy and are in the fight to cure this terrible disease. They have a new treatment and have families lined up for it but need funding to make it happen. Imagine being a parent with a child that has a terminal, degenerative disease and knowing that there is a treatment that is just out of reach. We donated $30,000 to try and get this treatment out to these families. 

We have started out 2026 with some serious momentum. We have already given away six checks and are scheduled to give out six more at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo on February 15th. I have attached a link of the Odessa rodeo and our partnership with  Ropin' Dreams where a very special family was given a shopping trip to Boot Barn and tickets to the rodeo. We presented them with a check and it was an honor to do so. Thank you all for helping us to follow this path that God has placed us on. We could not do this without you!

I was not aware that if you go to Walmart right after snomegeddon there is a dress code. If you also do not know the dress code I will help you. It is jammie pants (preferably with a cartoon character on them) crocs and flannel shirts. I am a little confused about the crocs because I feel like ice is not the appropriate surface for that footwear choice. To each their own.....
